PURPOSE:To prepare thin foam sheet with strong tensile strength by extruding and expanding straight chain low density polyethylene having a specific density, melt flow rate, molecular weight distribution. CONSTITUTION:By melting, kneading, extruding and expanding foaming agent and straight chain low density polyethylene having density 0.92-0.94g/cm<2>, melt flow rate 0.3-10g/10min and distribution of 4 or more in molecular weight expressed by weight average molecular weight Mw/number average molecular weight Wn, thin polyethylene foamed sheet with expansion rate 5-50 times, thickness 0.3-5mm. is provided. Said foam is made from specific polyethylene, therefore, though it is stretched in large tensile strength and at a large takeup speed, the extruded foam is not broken in its middle and a long thin sheet can be prepared easily. |
