PURPOSE:To form a toner image superior in image quality with high density by using a magnetic brush of a two-component developer consisting of the mixture of ferrite carrier particles and toner particles, and holding the electric resistance of the magnetic brush in a specific range to develop an electrostatic image. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductor layer 2 is charged with the electric charge having a certain polarity by a corona charger 3, and an original 13 is illuminated by a lamp 4, and the photoconductor layer 2 is exposed by the optical image of the original passing an optical system 6 to form an electrostatic latent image corresponding to the original picture. This electrostatic latent image is developed with a toner 7 by a developing mechanism 8. A transfer paper 14 is so supplied that it is brought into contact with the surface of a drum in the position of a toner transfer charger 9, and corona charging is performed from the rear face of the transfer paper 14 with the same polarity as the electrostatic image to transfer the toner image to the transfer paper 14, and the transfer paper 14 is peeled electrostatically from the drum by destaticization of a separating corona charger 10 and is sent to a processing region such as a fixing region or the like. The remaining electric charge is erased from the photoconductor layer 2 after toner transfer by overall exposure due to a destaticizing lamp 11, and the remaining toner is removed. |
