<p>PURPOSE:To raise the removal ratio of SOx and the utilization ratio of limestone and to enhance the quality of gypsum being a byproduct, in preparing a limestone slurry in a wet waste gas desulfurization process, by passing CO2 or a part of combustion exhaust gas through the limestone slurry. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas is introduced into an absorbing tower 3 through a cooling tower 1. A limestone slurry is supplied to the absorbing tower 3 to absorb SOx. The limestone slurry is prepared by throwing crushed limestone in industrial water or a filtrate after the separation of gypsum in a limestone slurry preparation tank 10 and mixing the resulting slurry under stirring. In this case, combustion exhaust gas containing CO2 is bubbled through the preparation tank from a conduit 11. As a result, a Ca-utilization ratio is enhanced and thus perepared limestone slurry is added to a recirculation slurry tank 4.</p> |
