PURPOSE:To retain a sealing member in position without causing fatigue by providing the inner circumferential surface of the valve body that makes the outer surface of the annular resilient sealing member abut against the threads. CONSTITUTION:The inner circumferential surface 6 of the valve body 1 is provided with threads, and the outer surface 8 of a resilient sealing member 2 is positioned to engage therewith. When the valve 3 is rotated to a fully closed position under no load condition, since the outer surface 8 of the resilient sealing member 2 is held stationary on the valve body inner surface 6, the sealing member will not move, and also, the sealing member 2 will not move on the inner surface 2a of the sealing member 2, either. Further, even when pressurized under a fully closed condition, the resilient sealing member 2 will not move. Therefore, the sealing member 2 can provide a repulsive resiliency enough to seal a high- pressure of fluid. |
