POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To improve the hydrolysis resistance by the incorporation of an epoxy compound containing no halogen and a carbodiimide compound into an impact- resistant resin comprising a thermoplastic polyester and a butadiene graft copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic polyester resin (A) (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate), a butadiene graft copolymer (B) (e.g. methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene copolymer), an epoxy compound containing no halogen (C) (e.g. diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A), and a carbodiimide compound (D) (e.g. diphenylcarbodiimide) are compounded to give an objective polyester resin composition. Preferably, the weight ratio of component A to B is 99.5:0.5-40:60, and components C and D are each in an amount of 0.01-5wt% based on A+B.
