PURPOSE:To keep favourable exhaust gas properties by making the titled burner burn completely always against a broad variation of a quantity of combustion, by providing at least a sheet of baffle plate moving up and down along a porous surface by interlocking with an up-and-down mechanism of a wick, in the inside of an air flow path consisting of the porous surface and an external cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When rotary driving parts 5 are turned in the direction of an arrow, a plane wick 1 is moved upward through a rotating shaft, a pinion 3 and a rack 2a. On the one hand, a rotation of the pinion 3 moves baffle plates 14a, 14a upward through a rack 2b, power transmission parts 7 and a holder 8. When the parts 5 is turned in the reverse direction of the arrow, both the baffle plates are moved downward. When an evaporation quantity of fuel through the wick 1 is much, the plates 14a, 14b are at the upper part of the inside of air flow paths 12a, 12b, an inflow air quantity through porous surfaces 10a, 10b becomes much and combustion reaction is completed. When the evaporation quantity of the fuel is small, the plates 14a, 14b are at the lower part, the inflow air quantity is made into the total one corresponding to a low evaporation quantity of the fuel, and the combustion reaction is completed through sudden inflow of the air from the porous surfaces 10a, 10b further.
