The drill chuck clamps an auxiliary pin by means of a collet with an annular collar. The pin has a square section behind the collar, and an impact section of reduced diameter. This contacts the end of the stud, which acts as a wall fixture. The auxiliary pin (1) is mounted in the drill chuck. The other end of the pin has a square section (3) behind the annular collar (4) and terminates in the impact section (6). To mount a threaded stud (7) in a wall, the collar (8) grips around the stud for secure fixing.
