<p>The process comprises reaction of cpd. of formula (II) where Z is a gp. eliminated by hydrogenolysis with reagent at -5 to + 40 deg.C, to give cpds. of formula (III) for treatment with excess of acetone at 20-60 deg.C with addn. of dil. inorganic acid to obtain ketones of formula (IV). The ketones are then treated with H and alcohol to give a prod. of formula (V). This is converted to derivs. of formula (VI) where X is a nucleofuge gp., the derivs. of formula (VI) undergoing substitution to give cpds. of formula (I) where R1-3 are H, lower alkyl, etc.</p> |
