The invention relates to a device for obtaining and acquiring random data. This device is characterised in that it consists of a body 1, preferably of elongate shape and able to be gripped manually comprising at least one window 3 interacting with means for displaying randomly-appearing data from among a set of data, the said body moreover constituting a writing implement and, to this end, comprising at one extremity at least means for writing 2 and for transfer of the random data previously displayed onto a medium such as a booklet.
