A number of SAW (surface acoustic wave) resonators (28, 29) arranged in parallel and in each case tuned to one frequency are used, which resonators are connected into an oscillator as frequency-determining elements and one of which is in each case switched through by means of a controlled switching device (31, 32). A number of such synthesizers can be combined to form a device for generating a multiplicity of frequencies (local oscillators) in a transmitter and/or receiver, particularly with multiple conversion.
