WEAR RESISTANT FUEL PIPE ELBOW

摘要

A mat of soldered metal fibres is used as cladding of a part of the pipe interior of a pipe bend which is arranged in the coal-dust lines for transporting a mixture of coal dust and air or gas to the burner of a steam generator. The coal-dust particles come into contact with this mat and are trapped in its gaps until a layer of compressed coal is formed of the same depth as the mat. Such a pipe bend has a higher wear resistance even when highly abrasive materials are conveyed in the pipe bend, like coal dust which is carried along in an air or gas flow.
