A last kept at a present temp. receives a vamp, to the upper edge of which is stitched a toe cap (2). The vamp-toe cap assembly is kept taut on the last, with stretching achieved by a cyclic succession of a number of identical elementary phases, through each of which the part of the skin subjected to stretching is gradually wound from one extremity to the other end and vice versa. To achieve this, a continuous or discrete surface exercises an adjustable pressure at a speed that can be set. The contrast surface is defined by spherical objects which contact the mocassin skin to apply the adjustable pressure through a rubbing or rolling action. -
|
