<p>A color imaging apparatus has an imaging device (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 15, 16) generating a luminance signal and a pair of color difference signals; a phase shifter (10), phase control circuits (11,12) and a modulator (13) providing a pair of carrier chrominance signals by modulating two color sub-carriers having different phases from one another with the two color difference signals; an adder (17) producing a composite color video signal from the luminance signal and the two carrier chrominance signals; a color temperature detector (14) providing a color temperature signal presenting a color temperature of a light; and a calculator circuit (19) responsive to color temperature signal for generating control signals for adjusting color difference gain control circuits (7, 8) and color carrier phase control circuits (11, 12) to compensate for a color reproduction characteristic of the composite color video signal.</p> |
