PURPOSE:To discharge completely recording paper which can be discharged by stopping a driving system automatically when a conveyance accident of recording paper occurs to a recording device, and discharging recording paper in a fixing and discharging device and then stopping the discharging device automatically. CONSTITUTION:When a sensor S2 detects no recording paper even at the prescribed time of a timer 1, the sensor detects the occurrence of the conveyance accident, i.e. jamming of a discharging-out roller 6. When the sensor S2 detects recording paper before the prescribed time of the timer 1, the timer 1 turns off at the point of time and a timer 2 turns on instead. If no recording paper is detected even at the prescribed time of the timer 2 after the sensor 2 detects said recording paper, the occurrence of a jam near a register roller 7 is detected and similarly when a sensor 3 detects recording paper, the state of such a jam that the recording paper is still wound around the photosensitive drum 2 without being separated and deviates from a normal conveyance path is detected. If some of the sensors S1-S3 detects a jam, a motor M2 is stopped after the conveyance of recording paper being conveyed is completed. |
