PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of light weight in a refrigerant compressor as well as improvements in its durability and reliability, by using ceramics for constituent main parts, while clamping a bolt locking a cylinder and both side plates and another bolt clamping the cylinder and a head cover direct in a shaft rectangular direction. CONSTITUTION:Ceramics being lower in a thermal expansion factor than a ferrous metal and excellent in wearproofness and lubrication resistance, besides light weigh is used for a constituent main part, and in order to make parts made up of ceramics in this main part easily machinable and secure strong clamping force, a steel cylinder bolt 30 locking a cylinder 22 and both side plates 29a and 29b and a head cover bolt 28 to clamp the cylinder 22 and a head cover 27 both are clamped direct in a direction right-angled with a direction where bolt clamping force acts on. With this constitution, inherent poorness in machinability and deterioration in tensile force or a weak point in the ceramics is covered by simple round hole drilling and clamping force in a compression direction, thus improvements in reliability and reductions in machining cost both are made attainable.
