PURPOSE:To improve chromatic deviation of luminescent color and attenuation of light flux of a curved tube type fluorescent lamp by forming a luminescent color layer on the inner surface of a valve made of soda glass (low lead content), after laying a transparent protective layer made of a mixture of metal- borate and alumina. CONSTITUTION:On the inner surface of the bulb of a curved tube type fluorescent lamp, which is made of low lead content glass including soda glass, a transparent protective layer is formed by applying a suspension whose metal-borate/ alumina ratio is set to 0.005-1.00, drying it and so on. Then, a luminescent layer of Eu activated strontium-chloro-phosphate etc. is formed on the protective layer. By this method, troubles such as protective layer separation and bulb failure are prevented, hence, the fluorescent lamp with no chromatic deviation and less attenuation of light flux is obtained. |
