摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of CO2 density and thereby realize a prolonged operation with gas remaining sealed in the device by a method wherein the density of at least one of the components of the laser medium gas is kept at a prescribed value by controlling the quantity of O2 gas supplied to the laser medium gas. CONSTITUTION:A density measuring means 17 is capable of sensing the density of at least one of the components constituting a laser medium gas, CO2 or CO or O2. A controlling means 18 controls the quantity of O2 supplied by a supplying means 13 so that the density of a component measured by the measuring means 17 may be as prescribed. That is, a pointer indicating O2 density changes its position corresponding to the reduction of O2 and reaches a pre-set pointer, when a current flows between the contacts the two pointers are provided with, to open an electromatic valve 15, wherethrough O2 gas is fed into the device from outside to bring back to a normal rate the process of O+CO CO2 wherein O atoms are supplied to make up for the loss caused by impurity gases generated in the device. Accordingly, the initial intensity of a laser beam is maintained, realizing a greatly prolonged service life for a laser device operating with the medium kept unreleased.
