PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to alter the information of a processor even when a state monitor device is added or eliminated or when information is altered and construct an efficient data communication network by adding the information of the state monitor device in an inquiry message that the state monitor device itself generates. CONSTITUTION:When each device MS to be diagnosed receives the inquiry message, a device MS1101 edits diagnostic information of its PS100 into answer messages 2 and 4, which are returned to state monitor devices NCC1400 and NCC2500 as an inquiry message transmission origin. Further, a device MS2201 returns answer messages 6 and 8 to NCC2500 and NCC3600 similarly and a device MS3301 also returns an answer message 10 to a device NCC3600 similarly. Therefore, the devices NCC1400, NCC2500, and NCC3600 monitor diagnostic information of a desired data exchange PS on multiple basis from the received answer messages by a method which is generally known. |
