PURPOSE:To obtain a peelable layer made of a polymer good in peelability in a wide range of processing temperature by using a copolymer contg. repeating units derived from ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid or its salt. CONSTITUTION:The copolymer used for the peelable layer is embodied by the formula in which R1 is optionally substituted >=2 C alkyl or optionally substituted aryl; A is a repeating unit derived from ethylenically unsatd. monocarboxylic acid or its salt copolymerizable with an ethylenically unsatd. monomer; X is H, halogen, cyano, or optionally substituted alkyl; and Y is same as X or -(C= O)-O-R1. The peeling layer is formed by dissolving this copolymer in an org. solvent, such as alcohols, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, acetonitrile, dioxane, formamide, tetrahydrofuran, or ethyl acetate, alone or one of their mixture or in combination with water, and coating a support with this soln. The use of this polymer permits a uniform good film even if it is formed in a thin layer. |
