<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display element having excellent display quality and extremely high durability to high temp. by forming an oriented film of a film consisting essentially of the polyimide expressed by the formula. CONSTITUTION:A polyimide soln. prepd. by dissolving polyimide in various solvents such as tetrachloroethane, methylene chloride, N,N-dimethyl formamide, N- methyl-2-pyrolidone, m-cresol, pyridine, nitromethane, dimethyl sulfoxide, etc. having high solvent strength is coated on a substrate by a method such as spin coating, roller coating, spray coating, dipping or the like. The coating is then heated for the purpose of removing the solvent to form the polyimide film and thereafter the film is rubbed in one direction by a cotton fabric, nylon flocked fabric, polyester flocked fabric or the like to form the oriented polyimide film expressed by the formula on the transparent conductive substrate. The heating and drying at an extremely low temp. is made possible in this case by specifying the kind of the solvent by which the damage and deterioration of the substrate is prevented.</p> |
