PURPOSE:To attain size reduction and improve efficiency by arranging a permanent magnet inside of a recording body which is formed endlessly. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image is formed on a necessary surface of a photosensitive layer 1 and when a photosensitive drum 2 rotates up to a toner supply part 7a, the magnetic field of the magnet 4 passes through a slit 3a to operate on toner 8, which rolls on the surface of the photosensitive layer 1 in the opposite direction of the rotating direction of the magnet 4 and sticks on the electrostatic latent image, thus developing the image. The magnet 4 for development is incorporated in the photosensitive drum 2, so the size of the developing device is reduce greatly. Further, the amount of toner supplied to the surface 1 of the photosensitive layer is determined by a gap A to which toner 8 is supplied, and excessive toner returns to a container 7 from a gap B between the upper part of the toner container 7 and the upper part of a guide plate 9, so that the toner is saved. Further, the length of the slit 3a is varied to adjust the contact time between the photosensitive layer surface 1 and toner 8, thereby improving the development efficiency. |
