Compressed-air generating device with two circuits at different pressures and with an air compressor which is suitable for generating the higher of the two pressures, especially with a high-pressure circuit and a low-pressure circuit for a vehicle brake system. The device serves for supplying compressed-air consuming units such as, for example, pneumatically controlled brake units, with a comparatively high supply pressure and a comparatively low control pressure. A pneumatically controllable reversing device (2) connects the pressure connection of the air compressor either to the high-pressure circuit or to the low-pressure circuit.
