PURPOSE:To retrieve easily and quickly an objective information frame by displaying the information frame part of a fed film, which is retrieved at the present time, on the way of forward feeding or reverse feeding operation process of the film. CONSTITUTION:In the forward feeding or reverse feeding process of a film F, one strobe discharging tube 17 emits light each time when a synchronizing marks 22 of an information frame C is detected by a photo sensor 231, and its pulse light is inputted to the optical path of a projection optical system 10 through an optical filter 18, lens 19, and a half mirror 20. The projected image of the information frame including a frame number 21 as a retrieval index mark irradiated by the pulse light is recognized visually on the prescribed position of a screen surface as if this projected image stops momentarily. Thus, information frames C are projected successively onto the screen surface by the pulse light in accordance with forward feeding or reverse feeding of the film F. |
