PURPOSE:To control digestion and absorption of a blue-green alga of the genus Spirulina and produce a properly digestible and absorbable health food, by using the blue-green alga of the genus Spirulina and finely pulverized calcium compound for a food additive as principal components. CONSTITUTION:1-40wt%, based on a blue-green alga of the genus Spirulina, calcium compound for a food additive, e.g. calcium carbonate or fossile shell, is added thereto, and the resultant mixture is pulverized with e.g. a vibrating mill at 300-2,000r.p.m. frequency to give <=0.6mum, preferably 0.4-0.1mum particle size of the calcium compound in the above-mentioned mixture. An additive, e.g. vitamin, edible perfume, seasoning or paste, is added to the pulverized mixture if necessary. |
