<p>PURPOSE:To widen visual angle by masking the surface of a light-distributing liquid crystal film subjected to an orientation treatment in one direction with photoresist and subjecting partially the film in the orientation treatment in another direction thereby forming two kinds of the oriented films which are different in direction on the same plane. CONSTITUTION:A polyimide film 6 which is oriented in a specified direction is laminated on a transparent conductive film 5 patterned on a glass substrate 4. A photoresist layer 7 is formed thereon and a window 8 is provided. Only the part of the window 8 is oriented in the direction different from the specified direction, for example, in the direction of an arrow CC', then the photoresist layer is stripped. The visual angle is thus partially changed, by which the visual angle over the entire part is widened and the contrast is improved.</p> |
