PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization of a transceiver by measuring the transmission output or SWR in a transmission mode, and using an output/SWR meter attached externally to the transceiver as an S meter in a reception mode to simplify the operation of the transceiver. CONSTITUTION:An input terminal 20A of a pass type transmission output/SWR meter 2 is connected to an antenna terminal 10 of a portable or simple type transceiver 1. While an antenna feeder is connected to an output terminal 20B of the meter 2. The output of a transmission final stage 11 of the transceiver 1 is supplied to an antenna via a transmission/reception switch 12, an antenna terminal 10A and a directional coupler 21 of the meter 2. The treveling wave output of the coupler 21 is displayed to an indicator 25 via a rectifier 22, and read. At the same time, the reflected wave power supplied from an antenna is rectified by a rectifier 26 and switched by a switch 23 to be displayed to the indicator 25. Then the external meter 2 is used as an S meter. In such a way, miniaturization of the transceiver 1 is attained and also the operation of the transceiver 1 is simplified. |
