Bis-alkylene trithiophosphonate insecticides

Compounds and compositions containing them, for insecticidal control have the formula <IMAGE> in which R is an alkylene group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms; R1 and R2 are methyl or ethyl; and R3 and R4 are independently n-propyl, branched chain alkyl groups having 3 or 4 carbon atoms, and branched alkyl groups having 5 carbon atoms and a branching at the alpha - or beta -carbon atom.
