PURPOSE:To form patterns, e.g., hemmed letters, etc., with the first decorated layer by a method in which the first decorated layer is transferred to the projected surface of a molding by means of hot stamping and the second decorated layer is transferred by lower pressures than the transferring pressure. CONSTITUTION:The first transfer foil 21 covering a transferable decorating layer 23, e.g., metal vapor deposited layer, colorant, etc., is rotationally pressed on a projected portion 11 by a roll 31 heated to transfer the decorating layer 23 to a molding. The peripheral side of the projected portion 11 is deformed by the heat and pressing force of the roll 31 to form a curved face on the peripheral side of the projected portion 11. The following transfer is made by using the second transfer foil 22 of a decorating layer 24 of different color from the first transfer by the same method. In this case, a roll 32 is positioned on slightly higher level than in the previous transfer and pressed at lower pressures. The position where the transfer starting position is ended is positioned slightly inwards from the peripheral side of the projected portion 11, and the hemmed surface (with patterns such as letters, figures, etc.) with the first decorating layer 23 can thus be formed on the surrounding area of the second decorative layer 24. |
