PURPOSE:To make it easy to take measures for sealing, by hermetically attaching the upper portion of the hollow rod of a main actuator and the upper portion of an auxiliary actuator to a common base, and providing a gas passage in the common base so as to connect the gas chambers of the actuators to each other. CONSTITUTION:In a main actuator 1, a hollow rod 10 is inserted in a cylinder 2 having an internal oil chamber 7, so that the hollow rod can be moved back and forth. A damping force production device 17 is provided in the lower portion of the hollow rod 10. An auxiliary actuator 40 comprises a cylinder 41, a free piston 42 therein, and an oil quantity controller 45 which puts oil into and out of an oil chamber 44. A common base 25 is hermetically mounted in such a manner that the open upper end of the hollow rod 10 is closed. The upper end of the cylinder 41 is hermetically attached to the bottom of the horizontally extending portion 25a of the common base 25. A gas passage 55, which connects the gas chambers 12, 43 of the actuators 1, 40 to each other, is provided in the common base 25. |
