PURPOSE:To provide the titled excellent cosmetic containing rutin and/or quercetin and an ultraviolet absorber having the absorption peak at the ultraviolet region having medium wavelength, effective to prevent the spiloplaxia and melanosis of the skin, and giving low stimmulation to the skin. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic contains (A) rutin and/or quercetin and (B) an ultraviolet absorber having absorption peak at a medium-wavelength ultraviolet region (280-335nm). The amount of the component A is 0.1-10wt% of the whole composition. The cosmetic is prepared preferably by depositing rutin or quercetin in extremely fine crystalline state to the surface of the particles of an inorganic pigment for cosmetic use, e.g. talc, kaolin, etc. The ultraviolet absorber is e.g. 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone, etc., and its amount is preferably 0.5-10wt% based on the total amount of the antisuntan cosmetic. |
