PURPOSE:To eliminate a cell having a bad-shaped outer diameter by surrounding a power generating cell element with an insulating sealing member, allowing this to intervene between sealing plates for positive and negative electrodes while closely sealing a peripheral edge thereof, and cutting away the remaining part to provide a prescribed shape of the cell. CONSTITUTION:An insulating/sealing member 12 is placed on a positive electrode sealing plate 11 and a power generating element 14 is housed in a notched part 121 of the insulating/sealing member 12, and the periphery of the whole is surrounded by the insulating/sealing member 12. Then, a metallic sealing plate 15 is placed on the insulating/sealing member 12 in contact with a negative electrode sheet 143, while peripheries of the positive and negative electrode sealing plates 11 and 15 are bonded and sealed together by means of adhesive layers 131, 132. A remaining part of a sealed portion between the positive and negative electrode sealing plates 11, 15 and the insulating/sealing member 12 is cut into a rectangular shape of prescribed size. Hereby, a cell shape is put in order at all times to improve working efficiency. |
