The arrangement is lowered over a hatch in the deck of the vessel and is sealed against it by the rubber skirt. In order to achieve a hydrostatic balance between the oil in the tank and the seawater, the space is evacuated by the ejector. When the pressure has been reduced sufficiently. the hatch is opened. The floadable pump is located through the opening in the dock for the oil to be pumped out through pipe. The pump is lowered on line by a portable lifting arrangement. Fluid for the pump passes through pipe. |
