A movable reflector plate (4) is supported on push-rods (7,8 and 9) which are driven by torque motors (131,4) so as to maintain the orientation of the plate about inertial orthogonal axes Y and Z. The torque motors are controlled by respective gyroscopes (11,12) mounted on the reflector plate with their axes perpendicular to the normal of the plate. The motors are directly coupled electrical torque motors and are driven by amplifiers which are in turn controlled by the output signals of the gyroscopes. The gyroscopes are rate-integrating tyroscopes and are controlled by torque input coils. The amplifiers are current-controlling amplifiers, so as to form a damped Type 2 servoloop. |
