The typing device comprises a character-bearing member, for example a disc 20, having a series of flexible laminae 22 equidistantly spaced from each other and each terminating in an enlarged portion 23 with an embossed character, symbol or graphical sign. The arrangement and form of the characters, symbols and signs is such as to allow the typing of a number of characters and signs which is appreciably greater than the number of characters carried on the character-bearing member, using a suitable combination of successive strikings of said characters, symbols and signs at predetermined positions of printing. |
