The invention relates to a device for producing a regulated AC voltage, having a transformer (3) to whose primary a mains voltage (UIN) can be applied and in which a first output connection (6) and a second output connection (7) can be connected to a load (11). A resonant filter (9) is connected between the second output connection and the load (11). A tap (8a) can be connected to a point between the resonant filter (9) and the load (11) via a switch group (5a) which can be controlled by means of a control set (10) as a function of the difference between the desired voltage (UDES) applied to the load (11) and the measured actual voltage (UACT) and has two electronic switches (51a, 52a) which are connected in reverse-parallel. Further taps (8b, 8c) are provided which can be connected to the point via in each case one further switch group (5b, 5c) which in each case has two electronic switches (51b, 52b; 51c, 52c) which are connected in reverse-parallel. The second output connection (7) can be connected to the input of the resonant filter (9) via an additional switch group (4) which has two electronic switches (41, 42) which are connected in reverse-parallel. The further switch groups (5b; 5c) and the additional switch group (4) can be controlled by means of the control set (10). <IMAGE>
