Cooling device for a skin-tan apparatus having tubes 36 which emit UV-A rays and are arranged parallel with the longitudinal axis in a housing 12 under a pane permeable to UV-A radiation, which is designed as a couch for the subject to be tanned and/or as a top part to be placed above the subject to be tanned, openings 10 through which air for cooling the UV-A tubes is sucked by a fan into the housing 12, being provided in each of the front sides of the housing 12, the air being blown out in the middle section of the housing 12, an air filter 14 being provided in each case in the flow path 30 of the cooling air in the region of the openings 10 in the housing 12. <IMAGE>
