Arrangement for receiver selection in a radio system with a plurality of fixed transceiver stations which all operate on the same reception frequency and are connected via wire links to a central unit, a noise evaluation being undertaken in the fixed receiving stations. The fixed receiving stations are connected via a two-wire line in a chain circuit to the central unit (telephone station). In the fixed receiving stations, except for the most distant station, the AF receiver voltage present there is in each case compared in a noise evaluation with the AF voltage arriving on the two-wire line from the direction of the fixed receiving station which is the next most distant from the central unit and only the better AF voltage is in each case switched into the two-wire line in the direction of the central unit (telephone station). <IMAGE>
