A composite film comprises two conductive films with an adhesive agent between them, adhering them together and electrically isolating then from each other. The adhesive is pref. a thermosetting resin, thick enough to withstand a voltage greater than the applied voltage. The film's lead frame comprises the composite with lead patterns formed in one conductive film and a support structure in the other. The frame is made by forming the patterns in the conductive films, pref. with the film in a belt shape. The lead patterns and corresponding support patterns are formed at equispaced intervals in the longitudinal direction of the film, with each fabrication step carrried out as the composite is transferred in the longitudinal direction.
