PURPOSE:To facilitate injection of a recording liquid by providing a fixing means against the body of a recording device on a recording head, and a liquid cartridge mount in a recording head and making the recording head attachable and detachable on the body of a recording device. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 1 is fixed with screws, a magnet chuck, etc. in an attachable and detachable manner in a concave part 2a of a carriage 2 which performs a reciprocating motion along sliding shafts 3 fixed on the body of a device. When this fixing is made, a terminal for a signal wire for driving liquid discharge from the recording head is electrically connected to a terminal 4 for drive signal wire in the concave part 2a. If a liquid cartridge 6 is attached on the recording head, a liquid storing bag 18 way out of a frame 15 at the lower part of the cartridge hits the bottom of a cartridge mount, resulting in the deformation of the liquid storing bag 18. Consequently, part of the bag protrudes through an opening 16 on the side of the frame and this protruded part is pierced by the needle-like head 13. |
