PURPOSE:To perform timer controlling without turning power source ON and OFF and reduce the relay current capacity for controlling by controlling the contact connection of a temperature controller part in the timer part provided as option. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detecting part 29 and a heater part 30 are provided in the electric carpet. A power source part 31, temperature control part 32 and its peripheral circuits are contained in the temperature controller part. When the plug 18 of the timer part is not connected to the temperature controller part, the ON and OFF of the contacts 33 and 34 of the temperature controller part are controlled according to the detection signal of the temperature detecting part 29 and the current supply to the temperature heater 30 is controlled through a relay 35. When the timer part is connected, current is supplied to a relay 28 upon lapse of the preset time, and this causes the contact 28a to close, by which the contacts 33 and 34 are substantially connected to supply current to the heater part 30. The abovementioned constitution enables the current capacity of the relay 28 to be reduced and the timer to be miniaturized. In addition, the timer part may be used as option. |
