AGENT FOR TREATMENT OF CULTURED FISH

PURPOSE:To provide the cultured fish treatment agent containing a cyanine pigment having a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic nucleus such as benzothiazole, benzoselenazole, pyridine, etc., as an active component, and effective to accelerate the intrinsic respiration and promote the growth of the fish at an extremely, low dose. CONSTITUTION:A cyanine pigment such as the compound of formula I (the group of formula II and formula III is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic nucleus such as benzothiazole, benzoselenazole, benzoxazole, naphthothiazole, thiazole, pyridine, etc.; R1-2 are residue of quaternarizing agent minus anion; n is 0 or positive integer) as an active component. A concrete example of the compound is the compound of formula IV. It accelerates the intrinsic respiration of fish, develops its strength and promotes the healthy growth of fish at an extremely low dose. For example, it resists to the diseases with viruses such as IPN, IHN, etc., accelerates the remedy of wound of the skin, prevents the parasitism of water mildew, and improves the yield of the cultured fish. There is no adverse effect to the quality of water or the fish.
