PURPOSE:To stabilize the tape driving path and to give no damage to the tape by shifting a tape guide by the elastic power in the width direction of the tape like a tape reel. CONSTITUTION:A drive shaft 21 of a tape reel 19 of a magnetic recording/reproducing device is fitted to a recessed part of the reel 19 when a tape cassette is loaded to said recording/reproducing device and also pressed toward an upper half 14. The shaft 21 is, however, pushed back by the force of a reel holding spring 20 and balanced within the tape cassette. At the same time, a tape guide 12 is pressed to the half 14 by a rib 22 of the recording/reproducing device and then pushed back toward a lower half 17 by the force of a spring 16. In other words, both the reel 19 and the guide 12 are moved together. Therefore the route of a tape 32 is moved in parallel in the width direction of the tape 32 before and after the tape cassette is loaded to the recording/reproducing device.
