PURPOSE:To obtain a processed picture in real time by providing two frame memories prepared separately in addition to an arithmetic unit of hardware in order to obtain the same processed result as that of a matched filtering method. CONSTITUTION:An input picture is fetched into a frame memory 10 and calculates an average density function f(t) of a preset area 12. A change h(t) in a matched filtering processed image, which is obtained by integrating a product of a weighting function f*(t) defined by a coefficient K and an arbitrary time T and a chronological density function g(t) of the frame memory 10 up to the arbitrary time T, can be obtained. The change h(t) can be obtained by combining an accumulator 16 of an integral value Kintegral f(t)dt, a frame memory 18 of the integral value Kintegral fgdt, a frame memory 20 of an integral value integral gdt and a chronological calculator circuit 22 and by outputting a parallel arithmetic result between respective memories.
