PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency, by a method wherein a placing table, which, during the starting of a work, is positioned about halfway between a bottom and a highmost level to which cardboard sheets are piled up, is lowered with the progress of a piling-up work, and the forward end of a feed conveyor is raised. CONSTITUTION:An elevating frame 16, elevating the forward end of a feed conveyor 11, and a table frame 17, on which a placing table 12 for placing cardboard sheets thereon is placed, are elevatably located along a pair of struts 15 erected on both sides of the extension of the feed conveyor 11. The placing table 12 and the table frame 17 are elevated through rotation of chains 19 and 21 run around sprockets 18, 18' and 20, 20'. In which case, the feed roller 11 is supported to the elevating frame 16 so that the forward end thereof is elevated within a range above a spot located about halfway between a bottom to a highmost level to which the cardboard sheets are piled up on the placing table 12. Meanwhile, the placing table 12 is elevated within a range under about the intermediate level, and with the progress of a piling-up work, the elevating frame 16 is raised, and the table frame 17 is lowered. |
