PURPOSE:To enable a copying paper to be securely separated from the surface of a photosensitive drum after the transfer of the paper by forming a paper end guide at an obtuse angle to the advancing direction of the paper under the face of a separating claw. CONSTITUTION:The end of the copying paper P closely adhering to the photosensitive drum 1 is separated by rotation of the drum 1 and by contact with the separating claw 2, and touches the paper end guide 4, drops downward, and reaches a conveyor belt 3. When the end comes into contact with the guide 4, the composed vector C of the force A of the paper P in the advancing direction, and the resisting force B of the guide 4 against the paper P is shown in the lower figure, and it is found clear that the paper P smoothly goes downward, that is, in the direction of the composed vector C after the end of the paper P is separated with the claw 2 from the drum 1. At that time, the fixed angle theta of the guide 4 to the advancing direction of the paper P is an obtuse angle. |
