Attachment of grinding disc to spindle head

An attachment arrangement for a grinding disc with a spindle head comprises a disc carrier (1) having wide head fixing pins (8) sprung against the carrier. The pins are actuated by a special tool to project to engage a plate (13) carrying the disc (12). The plate has curved projections (16) equidistant from the axis and corresponding in number to the number of fixing pins (8). The heads (10) of the pins are engageable with the projections (16) on relative rotation of the carrier and the plate.
