PURPOSE:To detect the accurate position of a radiation leak in nuclear facilities, etc., and improve the safety of the nuclear facilities at low cost by detecting whether a current flows to a radiation detecting element or not. CONSTITUTION:A code signal transmission line 3 and a radiation monitor signal transmission line 4 are laid in an area where radiation should be detected, and numbers of series circuits of radiation detecting elements 5d-5c and code converters 6a-6c are connected in series between both transmission lines; and a code signal which specifies one among the radiation detecting elements 5a-5c is sent from a code signal generator 12 to the code converters 6d-6c through the code signal transmission line 3 and a radiation monitor signal which varies according to whether the specified detecting element conducts or not is detected to detect the occurrence of a radiation leak. |
