A description is given of reinforcing steel rails which comprise a rail, a plurality of reinforcing steel elements and a cover. In order to ensure in the case of said reinforcing steel rails that the free ends of the rail do not extend up to the surface of the concrete masonry, it is proposed to configure the cover such that it projects on either side with respect to the rail, and to design the two projecting parts in the shape of a U such that the U-shaped bends, in the region of their legs directed towards one another or in the region of the webs connecting the legs of the bends, bear on the outer surfaces of the rail.
