PURPOSE:To form a color image having an image quality comparable to that of a color photograph, by a method wherein droplets of a plurality of color recording liquids having different colors are adhered to a recording material provided with an ink-receiving layer having a specified surface roughness. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid comprising a particulate filler such as silica, a binder such as starch and gelatin or the like is applied to a base such as a paper to provide the ink-receiving layer havig a surface roughness according to JISB-0601 in terms of a maximum height of 10-35mum per a reference length of 2.5mm.. Then, droplets are formed from a plurality of color recording liquids having different colors, and are adhered to the recording material provided with the ink-receiving layer. Accordingly, clear color images are formed with high resolution and excellent color forming property of the inks. |
