PURPOSE:To facilitate key operations in repetitive inputting, by a method wherein when the first-stage key of a double-action key is depressed for a period of time longer than a predetermined period of time, a key input is repeatedly generated at the first repetition interval during the period of time for which the first-stage key is depressed. CONSTITUTION:A timer 14 is provided for discriminating the period of time for which each single-action key or the first-stage key of each double-action key is depressed, and when the key is depressed for a period of time in excess of a period of time set on the timer 14, the operation is judged to be a repetitive inputting operation. A timer 15 sets a repetition interval for the repetitive inputting started by continued depression of the single-action key or the first stage of the double-action key. A timer 16 sets a repetition interval for the repetitive inputting started immediately upon depression of the second stage of the double- action key. |
